What is a “Listening Lounge”
A listening lounge is a specialized venue, rooted in 1950's Japanese "jazz kissa" culture, designed for the intentional, focused enjoyment of music on high-fidelity, analog sound systems.
Do you take reservations?
No. We are a walk-in only establishment. Dress up or dress down, as all are welcome.

What are your hours? Is the kitchen open the entire time during business hours?
The full kitchen menu is available 5pm-9pm.
If every seat is taken, can my group just stand inside?
No, as we are a seated only establishment. If we are full, you are welcome to order a drink and gather on our outdoor covered patio.
How loud is the music?
Our musical selectors play to the vibe in the room, so volume can vary. In general though, music will be louder than you might expect in a restaurant setting. Music isn’t the background; it’s the point.
What is your relationship to Summit Coffee?
Summit Coffee subleases our space from us during the day. We are separate but complimentary businesses. Since we operate independently, we cannot offer their full menu during Joyful Noise’s hours and vice versa.
What type of audio equipment do you have?

What type of music do you play?
Everything! We typically have a theme for each evening, but any musical style can be covered. We recommend you follow us on social media for daily music vibes.
Do you take music requests?
No. Our daily playlist is planned ahead of time by our staff, curated for maximum enjoyment. Although, we are always open to feedback on our record collection and album choices. Feel free to send suggestions to info@joyfulnoishifi.com
Do you stream your music? If not, what sources do you use?
Joyful Noise only plays analog music (read: no streaming). The real magic is intention: Choosing one record and caring about the moment.
Can we talk while inside at Joyful Noise?
Of course! While Joyful Noise is meant for intentional listening, it is also a place to gather with friends and loved ones. We just ask that you be considerate of those around you.
Can I DJ at Joyful Noise?
Please reach out to info@joyfulnoisehifi.com to inquire. Please note we require you to bring your own Phono Cartridges and vinyl selection.
Can I rent out the space for a private event?
